Look closely. Name the design choice, point to evidence, and explain its effect. There can be more than one defensible interpretation.
Start with two posters. For each, discuss two principles; then compare how typography and colour suggest a different kind of film. Multimedia 12: also propose a change and explain its likely trade-off.
Principles and a useful response structure
Emphasis: focal attention. Hierarchy: order of notice. Contrast: meaningful difference. Balance: distribution of visual weight. Movement: a path for the eye. Repetition/rhythm: recurring elements. Alignment/proximity: visual organization. Unity/variety: coherence with purposeful differences. Negative space: areas that give content room.
“The poster uses principle. I can see this in precise feature/location. This helps communicate message/genre because reason. A possible alternative is change, but that could trade-off.”
Use this as a thinking frame, not a list of words to paste into every response. Your explanation needs visible evidence.
