Practical check: the production changes.
Use a separate Practical.psd. Your teacher chooses two requests. Allow approximately 15–20 minutes. A menu-location reference is allowed; another person completing the edit or supplying a finished mask is not independent evidence.
| Request | Task | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| P · Precision edge | Correct one deliberately displaced vector anchor on the shoulder or rim. Keep the source shape and an editable vector mask. | A corrected curve; direct selection/path control, not a repainted raster edge. |
| S · Surface revision | Change one short line inside the flat label; preserve its warp and surface appearance. Check the reflected can too. | Live wording updated through the nested object route, including its shared reflection. |
| D · Depth control | Reduce one selected foreground-water highlight without altering rear water, product shape or the whole photograph. | A local edit to the correct foreground-water mask and a clear explanation. |
Explain the control, not just its name
“I changed ___ because ___. This affects ___ but leaves ___ alone. I checked ___.” Show the relevant thumbnail, path or object contents plus the result.
| Level | Descriptor |
|---|---|
| 4 · Transfer | Independently adapts the control, diagnoses the problem and explains a sound correction. |
| 3 · Secure | Independently completes a comparable correction with accurate control and a useful check. |
| 2 · Developing | Some correct control is evident, but corrective prompts or a significant unresolved error remain. |
| 1 · Supported | Needs step-by-step assistance to carry out or explain the essential operation. |
Score only the two observed target competencies, optionally /8 for this local checkpoint. Record the untested third skill as not observed, not as a failure. An access support is recorded; approved access accommodations are not themselves evidence of weak understanding. These are local competency labels, not official course-outcome codes.
